How do I find out the sales price on a property that just closed about a week ago and has not yet hit the public records database? Thanks.

In most states the sales price is public record. Check with the county assessor's office to see if they have the information. If you are in a non-disclosure state you will need to check with local brokers or subscribe to a comparables database. Loopnet.com has a large database and sells property sales records for $5.

Be aware there are some property owners in non-disclosure states that will not disclose the sales price to anyone. On those types of properties it can be impossible to find the actual sales price.
