I am looking at on office building that has some existing tenants. I need the entire building for my business and want to know if I can evict the current tenants. If not, what is the best strategy to relocate them?

Most likely you will not be able to evict them. The tenant has a leasehold interest and cannot be evicted unless they are in breach of contract. Check with the current owner on the current status of all the leases. If there are month-to-month leases you can begin by moving these tenants. You may need to buy out the other leases or wait until their lease term ends to occupy the entire building.

I agree. There are clauses that you could try and exercise, but most likely, they will stay on living there for awhile. Additionally, you'd better hope they don't decide to stay past their lease. I've heard of horror stories of landlords trying to evict tenants who refused to leave and it took months. I bet if you hired some movers knoxville company to come in and paid for their move, they might cooperate! I had a landlord offer to pay for my moving expenses to get me out before my lease was up and it worked.
